Bidhannagar Mayor Krishna Chakraborty resigns, another massive blow to TMC
The Indian Under-19 cricket team secured a massive 90-run victory against arch-rivals Pakistan in their ACC U19 Asia Cup Group A clash held in Dubai on Sunday. The match, which was reduced to a 49-overs-a-side contest due to a rain delay, saw India successfully defend a modest total to maintain their dominance in the tournament.
Put into bat first, India managed to post a total of 240 runs. The innings was anchored by opener Aaron George, who played a steady knock of 85 runs. Captain Ayush Mhatre (38 runs off 25 balls) provided a quick start, while all-rounder Kanishk Chouhan (46 runs off 46 balls) made a crucial contribution in the middle order to ensure India reached a defendable target.
In response, the Indian bowlers delivered a clinical performance, bundling out the entire Pakistan team for just 150 runs. The bowling attack was spearheaded by Deepesh Devendran and the earlier contributor with the bat, Kanishk Chouhan, both of whom scalped three wickets each. Even 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, despite a low score with the bat, chipped in with a wicket in his solitary over and took an excellent catch, highlighting the team's all-round effort to seal the comprehensive victory.
